DeHaven is a drummer, vocalist, songwriter & producer for Olio and their label AD4 Records. Twenty years of versatility, from Metal to R&B, developed his in your face style which provides a solid base for Olio's natural rhythmic charisma. DeHaven's use of acoustic and electronic drums expand their sound design and his on-stage antics bring explosive energy to the group. Olio has recorded 4 cd projects: Ain’t No Party Like an Olio Party…Live- 1998 3P- 2000 Colour of Music- 2003 Olio wrote and produced the single “This Town” for the indie film Port Town in 2006.
Releasing their album Living the Dream in June 2009. A collection of music determined to change the face of popular music; bringing back the power trio with a twist. Olio’s music has been garnering airplay on countless Internet Radio stations, Podcast and some FM stations. They are always playing shows around town in Los Angeles. They will continue to tour in 2011 doing colleges ,fairs, festivals and top venues as they support their catalog of music and Brand New Songs from their Forthcoming album (as yet untitled)
DeHaven continues his residency as the drummer for FBC (Friendship Baptist Church) in Yorba Linda, California since the age of 12. He is also the Director of Music and Arts. He has Recorded 3 full album projects with FBC Mass Choir now, FBC Unity Choir which he is the Director. FBC Mass Choir Live- 1998 Soul of Christmas- 2003 Heaven in the Room- 2004 The Friendship Baptist Church Mass Choir who has gained national attention with national radio play and Network T.V. projects on NBC, BET, Word Network & TNT.
DeHaven has been featured in Modern Drummer Magazine in and DRUM! Magazine in 1999 for his work on Olio’s debut cd Ain’t No Party Like an Olio Party Live. These accomplishments lead to DeHaven getting his first product endorsement with Pintech Electronics in 1999 to present. This support has paid great dividends for DeHaven and his band This is a Drummer that is getting more attention everyday, thanks to his efforts in Olio and in the industry as a whole. Great groove and song play with a little flavor on top. And then you add his love for electronics and live re-mixing. This guy almost puts on a show by himself. Yet he is just a regular guy who loves to play and perform. It’s not about celebrity; it’s about the quality of the music and the meaning of the music.
